Background

A company based in Stockholm, created a simple solution to becoming plastic-free—developing a hand wash that uses refillable glass bottle and plastic-free paper refills. All you need to do is to pour the refill powder into the bottle, pour water in, and give it a good shake. The scents of the refill powders are distilled from leftover timber and citrus pulp. The idea of sustainability here is that every refill is a plastic bottle never made and has 85% fewer emissions than a new bottle of soap.

Blink's Sustainable Retail Insights

We wash our hands daily. However, we are unaware that the hand soap we use is harming the planet with the way it is packaged and the ingredients used to make it. Forgo aims to have a fully traceable supply chain by 2023 by offering low waste, emissions, toxins, and skin/body/hair care routine in plastic-free paper refills. *On average, a household throws away 25 single use plastic bottles of hand soap, most of which does not get recycled (Forgo).
